Ready for Simple?

We get it and we're here for you. We're a church that connects you into life-changing relationships with Jesus and others through simple conversational-style worship and Bible teaching. We are a local church based in Aurora.

We live in a culture where church attendance is valued less and less. I have found that many who call themselves followers of Christ, but don’t place a high value on church attendance anymore.

Perhaps some were turned off by the hypocrisy or inconsistency they witnessed among churchgoers. For some, church attendance was just checking the religious box. All else seemed irrelevant to them. Or perhaps we’ve become too busy, and church attendance isn’t high on our priority list.

But what do you do with Hebrews 10:24 -25, “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”

God says we need to meet together as followers of Christ. Doing so stirs our hearts and affections toward the Lord and provokes us to do good works. You NEED brothers and sisters to encourage you and pray for you. You NEED people in your life who will correct you in grace and love. Our hearts cannot be trusted, so we depend upon others in our lives to help us see our blind spots.

God has provided the local church to be this kind of spiritual community. If we are not involved in a local church, if we are not living life with people of kindred faith, or if we try to live out an “it’s between Jesus and me” kind of spirituality, then our spiritual growth will be stunted. Thus, the Lord warns us not to neglect this important time together.

New Hope is a church plant or what I affectionately refer to as a "church in diapers." If you are looking for a challenge and to be a part of where God is working, then we need you. What To Expect at New Hope

The desire of New Hope Community Church is that your time with us leaves you feeling refreshed and loved because you encountered the life-changing message of the Gospel.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We wear everything from formal suit and tie clothing to very casual. Please feel free to wear jeans and T-shirts. We want you to feel comfortable during worship.

  • Our services are designed to be a time of encouragement, worship, and instruction. As part of this design, we engage in worship through music by utilizing a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary praise and worship music. Our time of worship is then followed by a message from the Bible that aims to engage the church with practical teachings that remains true to the text of the Scripture.

  • Our service begins at 10 am on Sunday mornings. Children from preschool to 2nd grade are dismissed after the worship to meet with our volunteers for storytime and activities. If your children don't want to be left with our volunteers, you are welcome to listen to the message downstairs.

  • No. You are welcome to support our ministry but there is no expectation on nonmembers to give..

  • New Hope is built on the philosophy being a simple church that encourages people to love God and one another. We do not use gimmicks to entice people to attend. We understand that life is challenging and that church  should be an encouragement. Our goal is to equip you from the Bible on how to have a relationship with God and other believers. We are a family that together is learning how to trust God in all parts of life.
